Assembly Reviews From Teachers At Browns Valley Elementary, up in Napa, CA.

Thank you for your recent drawing assembly. what a splendid surprise! I came in the final assembly with my K/1 class. I was not sure what to expect…but what fun. You have a magnetic personality and the kids were glued to each word and movement. You have a natural ability to break the task down into meaningful chunks with the kids and make it successful! My kindergarteners were equally as successful as my first graders. You wove interesting visual descriptions into your directions…the roller coaster, the slimy eyeball, the water splashing…You also used humor but kept it tasteful! I loved the empowering say “I” if you can do this…the pace and the drawings were age appropriate and YES…you included academic vocabulary that we use daily in class…triangle, circle, square… Good luck your your ventures. Please keep working with kids! Have fun with them!

I wanted to let you know how much my class and I enjoyed your drawing assembly. Aside from the fact that they went home with 3 delightful pictures, they also left with a confidence that they can draw whatever they want. I especially liked the way you kept the students’ attention or brought them back to you by having them hold up their hands and say something. Great teaching technique! You also gave them concrete models for drawing certain lines, like the curve, and the fist for the fish’s eyeball. We hope you’ll come back again soon for more drawing secrets! Thanks!

Your presentation on October 17 was great. My Second Graders and I enjoyed you and your art work very much. Thanks for all of your hard work and enthusiasm. My son is currently in a teaching credential program in San Diego , and I told him to be sure to look you up when he gets a job. Any school would be lucky to have you come and share your guided drawings with the students and staff.
